Product Description

Antique fine quality Queen Anne early 18th Century inlaid burr walnut escritoire, desk or chest. A wonderfully honest quality period piece.

Solid and strong, with no loose joints. Full of age, character and charm. Key to fall front only. Concealed cornice drawer and secret compartment.

Would look great in the right location! Later baize writing surface. The drawers slide freely.

Overall maximum dimensions: 97cmW x 58cmD x 167cmH. Separates into two halves for transport.

In good antique condition with historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is to be expected with functional antique furniture. Some historic extinct woodworm holes (as you would expect) that have been treated for good measure. Some losses and veneer imperfections. Would have originally had bun feet. Later handles and brassware. Alteration and evolution over the centuries as is normal.

Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able-bodied person(s) for our driver to assist with carrying.

Stock No. M7659.
