Antique large heavy Gothic 9-lamp brass bronze chandelier.
This striking chandelier, approximately 20 years old, showcases a heavily tarnished brass appearance, possibly featuring other metals, with vert de gris aging.
Sure to command attention and elevate any space it adorns!
Approximate overall dimensions are 71cm in diameter x 97cm in height (height can be reduced to 77cm by removing links from the chain). The chandelier alone measures 66cm in height, excluding the chain and ceiling rose.
Featuring modern wiring with an earth connection, the chandelier accommodates small Edison screw bulbs (E14).
Expect some historic knocks, marks, and repairs, consistent with its age and character.
For your convenience, we offer free delivery via Parcelforce 48 or similar carrier. The chandelier's arms will be removed (they unscrew easily) and carefully packaged. Upon receipt, the wiring should be checked/reconnected, and the chandelier reassembled by a competent individual.
Alternatively, we can fully assemble the chandelier, connect the wiring, and arrange delivery using a specially commissioned courier to your home. Please note the following precautions:
- Due to its size and weight, at least two people are required to fix it to the ceiling.
- Ensure that the ceiling and fixing can support the chandelier's weight.
- Check for any loose parts and tighten them as needed, taking care not to over-tighten.
- Installation must be carried out by a competent person (Building Regulations part P approved), with the lighting circuit tested before and after installation.
- Re-test the chandelier before connecting it to a mains supply to ensure wires haven't been disturbed or chafed during transit.
